Where is the Common Good?
The sustainable development goals (SDGs) are a new, universal set of goals, targets and indicators that UN member states will be expected to use to frame their agendas and political policies over the next 15 years.
The 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a part of the 2030 ‘Transforming our World’ Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), in order to compensate for what these had not achieved. Overall the goals aim for a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable future. But what are the goals in particular, where lies their potential, and what mechanisms are required for a successful implementation?
But, the big question is:
- Remembering a Wise Teacher: Dr. Wayne Dyer RIP
- “If only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen”
- As the world leaders meet to discuss the SDGs, Europe puts up razor wire to keep refugees out
- Simorgh tells me: We are the leaders we have all been searching for
- Are you happy with the election of Jeremy Corbyn?
- September 1st is the day Japanese children are most likely to kill themselves
- World in Chaos and Despair: The Healing Power of the Simple Things in Life
